2007 proved to be an exceedingly successful and somewhat hectic year for John Walker!

It all started on February 21st in Southport when John, faithfully supported on vocals by his ever- talented wife Cynthia and admirably backed once again by The Dakotas, took to the stage as part of the Solid Silver Sixties Tour.

The tour covering the length and breadth of the UK and over seventy performances, where John played alongside other legendary artistes such as The Searchers, The Merseybeats and Wayne Fontana. Every night he played to a packed audience wowing the crowd in his own distinctive style with his special
interpretation of those oh so memorable Walker Brother classics bringing the house down and ending with a rapturous standing ovation after each performance.

No time for John to relax after this gruelling tour! Within a couple of weeks he was back on stage performing in three of his own unique shows before heading back to The States to write his next album and prepare for his own exclusive tour of the UK in the autumn.

John headlined this mini tour, which took in a total of ten venues, all the way from Scotland to the Isle of Wight, with the same winning combination as before. John’s hour long set once again included all the instantly recognisable Walker Brother hits, such as ‘Make It Easy On Yourself’,’ No Regrets,’ and ‘The Sun Ain’t Gonna Shine Anymore,’ together with a number of his own compositions from his leading career as a solo artist and some pure unadulterated rock and roll numbers which happened to be his favourites and which he knew would inevitably have the audience singing and dancing on their feet, night after night after night!.

John took time after each show to add his own personal touch by coming to the foyer to meet and greet his fans, sign autographs and have photographs taken, never leaving before spending time with each and everyone of them.

2008 is set to be just as busy with news of all John’s planned activities posted here just as soon as they are confirmed.
